To wear day cream on a night shift?

Talking to my DM the other day (who is in many respects a bit bonkers) and she asked about the face cream she bought me for Christmas and I said 'yeah it's great although I've nearly ran out of the day cream and still have half a tube of night cream'. She was puzzled until I explained that because I work a lot of night shifts I wear the day cream during the day before my first shift and then again for when I'm at work, I then put the night cream on when I come home to sleep but on my last night I sometimes stay up so have a shower when I get home and put the day cream on again.

You'd think I had just admitted to slathering my face in horse manure judging by her reaction Confused as apparently night cream must always be worn at night because the 'air is different' and other gems. I think she's talking pish.

However now I'm throwing it over to you lot and if i am indeed BU then I will concede defeat to my mother (but probably still do it my way as the night cream is too oily to wear under makeup).

You rebel.

I bet you sometimes have cereal at the wrong time of day as well.

Didn't they used to take plants out of hospital wards at night because the air was, erm, different?...
Theory might have stemmed from blood letting days, but so might your DM if she is very very very old.

Anthony Shock
I don't my face turning into a pair of hands!!

NinaSimoneful · 28/02/2016 22:57

Bah, missing word. That should've read:

I don't my face turning into a pair of hands!!

Maybe there's something to this day cream/night cream theory Hmm

NinaSimoneful · 28/02/2016 22:58

WTF!
Missing word was want. I don't want my face...

I think I need to go to bed Sad

I use hand cream as lip balm, lip balm as hand cream, body moisterizer goes on my face, and face cream on my knees and elbows. It all depends what's to hand.

Plants were removed from hospital wards because they emitted carbon dioxide. Maybe op's dm was right, the air is different at night, at least in a greenhouse!

Catsize · 29/02/2016 22:55

That was my understanding 228.

Ah god don't tell her there is a grain of truth in her nonsense theories!
