Hearts - don't! It's really upsetting.SadEven though it's not real and only a film.:-)

AI is such an emotional rollercoaster!!

My DH thought it was too long though and said the last 30 minutes was like watching paint dry.

I loved that film pre children, I honestly don't think I could watch it now. It's not just the boy, the life of the Jude Law character is pretty bleak too. [Sad]

Totally agree - one of my favourite films ever! Got me for a few reasons - we first saw it when it came out which was 2/3 weeks after 9/11 and it shows the twin towers which came as a bit of a shock so soon. Haley Joel osment looked exactly like one of my friends DS. The end, with his mother - my mum died suddenly when I was 37 (over 20 years ago now) and I would love to be able to spend one day with her again ...

Yes, so so sad, and he waits so long in the ice, it's heartbreaking. I actually can't bear to think about it.

Theimpossiblegirl · 25/02/2016 22:22

I literally cried right the way through it. I was 9 months pregnant when I watched it so possibly a little emotional. It's a wonderful film, but very sad.

Kitsandkids · 25/02/2016 22:23

Really, really sad! I saw it at the pictures and felt traumatised when I came out!

jeremyisahunt · 25/02/2016 22:23

I hate the bit where they blow up the robots for fun... Sad

gaggiagirl · 25/02/2016 22:29

Oh the flesh fayres? 😢 I dont want to see that film again I'm a mammy with babies waaaaaaaaaa 😢 that little boy robot can come and live here I'll be his mam.

WestleyAndButtockUp · 25/02/2016 22:29

Mark Kermode slagged off the film for a few months when it came out. His wife Dr Linda .... told him he'd got it wrong, so he re-watched it and realised she was right. So when he interviewed Spielberg years later he took the opportunity to apologise and told him it was a masterpiece.

Whatever you do, don't read the short story, thinking it will be a more in depth version of the film - it really isn't.
