I have to admit to a frisson when I heard the music at the start of Episode 7.

Not bothered about seeing the last two now my favourite character's out of the loop. I almost cried.

I have some great pics of Kylo Ren during filming. The perfect man wears black

Almost - I properly ugly-cried...

And Oo. I've seen lots of cool screen tests of everyone's costumes.

That 'Kara' video I linked made me cry. The first time I've ever thought of stormtroopers as actually scary...

mrbananabeak · 25/02/2016 22:15

and who wouldn't want to be carried away by Ren .......

I know he's really evil. But he's tall and pretty and I can't reason with that Grin

I love the way they keep the music the same and the landscapes similar. It gives it that continuity even though it's an old franchise. When the music starts and the opening scroll shows up I turn into a child! It's pure escapism.

If I rewatch all the films again I'm watching in the order of 4,5,6,3

I refuse to watch 1 or 2 ever again. I'd go as far as to say I hate 1. 2 was slightly more bearable but I can't imagine ever sitting through them again

The force awakens was brilliant can't wait for it to come out on DVD

SistersOfPercy · 25/02/2016 22:35

I've seen it four times but the credits probably a dozen. I'm a stormtrooper in my spare time and worked at a cinema when the movie opened. As the credits rolled I ushered them out with a "move along" and dd(18) who is a brilliant princesd leia (and part time snow trooper) did a Jedi mind trick of "you will not spoiler this movie " as they left.
Consequently I've seen the credits many more times than the move Grin

I finally saw it last week and loved it. I thought it continued the atmosphere of the original films very well.

I suppose that the set up of the prequels required the heavily political agenda to set up the fall of the Jedi and rise of the Empire creating a very different tone from the originals.

After much thought and enquiring with others that had seen it, we took the 5 year old with us and he absolutely loved it and was riveted.

Oopps here again. This man is addictive

Kylo Ren has got too much face going on for my taste.

Finola1step · 26/02/2016 14:56

"I'm a stormtrooper in my spare time" has got to be, hands down, the best line I have ever seen on Mumsnet. I doff my cap to you SistersofPercy.

DonkeyOaty · 26/02/2016 15:19

Yes indeed Finola

SistersOfPercy · 26/02/2016 15:46
