Love it! And I'm taking dds to see the live tour....can't wait Wink

987flowers · 24/02/2016 07:41

I hate it! I'm sure shit like this contributes to issues in the classroom as it's all bitching and hair flicking. I'm sick of children thinking all this angst has to be normal. Thankfully after seeing one episode my 9 yr old told me how rubbish it was!

Fairylea · 24/02/2016 07:43

Love the next step. And we are definitely not alone - it's always in the top most viewed programmes on iplayer! Grin

MissHooliesCardigan · 24/02/2016 07:52

I absolutely love it and an fascinated by the mock reality thing ie when they were at Nationals and Internationals, were all the audience extras? Who is the gay one?

Rshard · 24/02/2016 08:02

I love it too! We're also going to the live tour. When I bought the tickets I was so excited and had to ring my Mum to screech as I couldn't tell dd as the tickets were her Christmas present.

987flowers · 24/02/2016 08:06

But in the episode I saw there was no dancing only bitching! I didn't see one dance move!!!

jay55 · 24/02/2016 08:06

Total guilty pleasure, watched the concert tour episode over the weekend. Couldn't believe James real name is Trevor.

Catphrase · 24/02/2016 08:23

I think cbbc is fantastic the quality of programmes is brilliant. Things like operation ouch, Naomi's nightmares, deadly 60, pocket money pitch, the dick and Dom science one, all over the place. Really really good quality tv, we happily sit there all watching it and if I'm honest we all learn stuff.

The next step is the towie of kids tv yet I can't help watching it

Justyou · 24/02/2016 08:23

Ha that was me ... Like oh their pretend names suit them soooo much better.
I knew some of the acting was fake but more like real life but ott for the show.

Justyou · 24/02/2016 08:26

We used to say to the kids why do you watch it when it's so bad but then catching snippets of it gets you hooked and before you know it you know who s who and follow the plot. It's like a kids Soap I guess.

MLGs · 24/02/2016 08:28

I absolutely hate the next step. DD (7) watches it. It's the only thing in CBBC I can't stand.

SpocksThirdEar · 24/02/2016 11:11

Who's the gay one?

My youngest joins in with the dancing but won't entertain the idea of classes. I just want it to be like the next step.

I hated it at first, thought it was cringe and I wanted to punch Emily, but then I got hooked. We all got hooked.

The dancing is pretty amazing though, they are fantastic.

HeteronormativeHaybales · 24/02/2016 11:29

I agree it's crappy, but it's a guilty pleasure of mine Blush
