To have a very small christening for second child?

Hi all
Just wanted to get some views on this before I book a date. My first daughter had a large (quite expensive) christening, invited around 100 family / friends and cost around a grand. Now we have two kids money a bit tight also husband has 7 siblings none of whom have come to visit our new daughter, she is now almost 6 months. I want to have a small christening, around 25-30 people max, they would be both my husbands and my immediate family, then do a pub lunch / cream tea after as opposed to hall hire / catering, will this cause problems when my girls are older? Will my second born feel cheated as it was smaller and not as expensive. We would still get a lovely cake made and special balloons etc. any thoughts?
Thanks

If CofE dropped their religious privilege I'd happily never even think about religion again Cor. But they don't, instead claiming persecution.

What sort of Christian are you?
So good Christian is the one who doesn't celebrate their child's official entrance to Christianity? Not the one who chose a baptism over a naming service, who's helping people who need help, who's going to church, who's kind and thoughtful etc?
I'm not gonna call you a twat Fog cause I'm a Christian but my dear you have no clue what you're talking about! You're not a believer as you said and you haven't followed this from your heart, so what the hell are you doing here passing judgement?

Are you sure they aren't waiting for the Christening invite?

We had 100+ for DD1s, a big do, spent a fortune on it and she got so much. Dd2 had a grand total of 9 - grandparents, aunts/uncles and cousins.

They will get an invite for christening, however my family are very close and I couldn't imagine not seeing my new niece for 6 months, but each family is different. They have been invited to visit but guess they are busy with life in general so we will see them at the christening!
