To not believe Boris Johnson at all and think he's a ringer

I don't feel that Boris J is at all convincing in his new anti Europe stance. I think he's a ringer that will go down in the last round/ make the anti campaign seem weak to help DC win?

A lot of people are not interested in learning or politics, they see a politician who seems "refreshing" and think it's a good thing. Confused

The type of people who like BJ are the type that appears on Towie.

AlpacaLypse · 22/02/2016 16:42

I'm pretty certain Boris has expressed anti EU views in the past actually... would have been hypocritical of him not to have backed the Out campaign! I'll see if I can find some links.

Here's one, Daily Telegraph 2014

AlpacaLypse · 22/02/2016 16:45

And another this time in the Guardian, also from 2014, for anyone who has issues clicking on The Telegraph site. www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/aug/05/boris-johnson-britain-glorious-future-outside-eu

I wish he would take his own advice - the advice he dished out to a taxi driver not so long ago. Wink.

Pepperpot99 · 22/02/2016 16:49

I believe his exact words were "Fuck off and die".

If only the lying swindling scum that is BoJo would take his own advice.

TheSnowFairy · 22/02/2016 17:29

I cannot stand Boris. Nice to see so many feel the same way Grin

Well, well, well, his wife Marina Wheeler takes silk and writes an article slamming the European courts of Justice in the Spectator. Gove is Secretary of State for Justice.
On the other hand we have his DF, Stanley, who does not think his son has schemed acted well.
Also, his great frenemy David.

PS Do you think David was his fag at school?

VertigoNun · 22/02/2016 18:29

I think Osborne is traumatised by and DC scared of BoJo, who according to his Mum perfected his torturing skills as a young child.

SilverHawk · 22/02/2016 18:44

Torturing, or just baiting his younger siblings?

VertigoNun · 22/02/2016 18:55

There are more articles out there, this is her name, do Google what she says about her son.m.huffpost.com/uk/entry/8210450

Ah, so Mum went into hospital when he was ten years old.
Another good snippet comes from an interview with Leo Johnson in the Daily Telegraph. Boris was bought up as ' the great prodigious tree in the rainforest, in the shade of which the other trees must either perish or struggle to find their own place in the sun'! Primus inter pares.
Brother Leo did not enter politics.

Have only skimmed the thread but nice to see not everyone is taken in by Boris.
All the papers had headlines today about 'Boris going in for the kill' and 'Boris is going to get us out'. The man only made his mind up a few hours ago (if he really has) and now he's heading the campaign? What about the people who have slaved for 20 years to get us to the point where we are getting a referendum (and been called all sorts of names in the process)? I have a horrid feeling Boris has been planted to eclipse them so their views don't get as much airtime.
