To not 'bloom' during pregnancy?

My face seems to get wider/bloatier and my eyes smaller. This is not a good look as I have quite pointy angular features and thin lips.

I get dark circles under my eyes.

My face either looks very pale or red and blotchy.

My thighs get big, but that's about the only place (apart from my bump).

I'd like to be a round faced rosy cheeked blooming mother to be with lots of thick pregnancy hair and floaty dresses. Am I being unreasonable to want to fucking bloom?

I saved all my "glow" for labour, then looked radio active lol. I would like another but pregnancy scarred me mentally

Yanbu. I was giant by 16 weeks and on crutches with spd by 14 weeks. I certainly did not bloom. It was a miserable and difficult experience. Worth every minute for my wee boy though! Grin

I was fat, swollen, sore, hot and angry when I was pregnant. Blooming my fat arse.

I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and look like a large angry bag of shit.

My arse is expanding faster than my bump and my face is pasty and blotchy. I'm also sweaty and flatulent.

My best friend was pregnant with twins last year and looking totally amazing throughout so it does happen. Just not to lots of us.

Am 8 weeks pregnant and look pale with a greenish tinge.

In my last pregnancy somewhere around the mid point people started telling me how well I looked. Unfortunately I still felt bloody awful so it was just irritating. My SIL loved being pregnant and gets nostalgic about it years later. I found it a horrible mix of anxiety about something going wrong and never feeling well. The newborn period was a relief by comparison- I actually got more sleep!

At 27 weeks I've had another week of being told I look "tired", "awful" and "washed out". I've developed a disproportionate hatred of all women having an easy pregnancy, look well or aren't being sick. Looked rough in the last pregnancy so it obviously disagrees with me!
