Hello all

If I am lucky I may get 14k together by then (will have a limited amount to live on per week but thats life)

Even !0% mortgages are difficult to get for first time buyers!

Just because you're in a secure job with a great salary doesn't mean you have to buy a £340k house.

Live within your means! Not within the realm
you think you should be living in. Problem solved.

Based on your name Ill assume you're actually in Dublin I take it under the new central bank rules you need 10% of the first 220k and 20% of anything above.

Firstly, getting credit union loans for a deposit or gifts from parents don't go down well with the banks these days all deposits must be backed up with proof of savings.

The loan would show on your ICB and reduce the amount you can borrow by far more then the loan value due to how they calculate loan capacity.

No great advice other then continue to save I think the central bank will loosen up the 3/5 times income and deposit ratios in the near future meaning you'll be able borrow more with a smaller deposit.
