To make a Bellini with?

It's just the perfect consistency and my greatest discovery since becoming a mum!

I was hosting a dinner party a few months back and wanted to have Bellini's for on arrival, I searched high and low for Ella's peach but couldn't find it anywhere! Ended up having to actually purée some peaches such hard work.

Might have to venture into the baby food aisle for the first time in years.

Will probably be trying Cointreau hot chocolate this weekend!

Genius idea!

I normally use a tin of peaches in syrup, whizzed up with a hand blender. Perfect consistency and sweetness, but you need to use the whole tin's worth of purée because it doesn't keep.
This is a much better idea

OMG, I thought you were talking about a baby sling.
Was wracking my brains to think what a Bellini could be...a snood or perhaps a shrug?

If you want to elevate your Bellinis Ocado sent me a taster pouch of a brand called Goodness Gracious (or the other way round?) which was Apple, Apricot and Cinnamon. It rivalled a good hotel Bellini......

Seriously, I love Bellinis and for years searched for purees. If only I'd known the babies had the monopoly...

I have searched high and low for peach puree to make Bellini's with. Using pureed peach baby food is genius. I will be sorting that out tomorrow for sure. Thank you!

Inspired!

My youngest is nearly 18 months, but I'll be stocking up with Ella's pouches forthwith. Thanks, OP!

You can buy pouches specifically for Belinnis by a company called Funkin' Fruit, but they are quite expensive which is why I went for the tinned leach route, but baby food is the best of both worlds!

The banana and apple one is good to sweeten flapjack too

In the past I've made white chocolate and coconut panacotta and served it with mango 'coulis' aka an Ella's pouch ...

My alcohol crisis was when the dc were at infant school so beyond Ella's pouches...

However, I've discovered that if you like Pimms (or indeed gin or vodka etc) and you've run out of ice and fruit juice, then using a Rocket 3 coloured lolly as a stirrer in your drink provides an excellent burst of icy cold sweetness to make a very nice drink... And looks good too even if it gets you some very funny looks from dh

Am planning on trying it with some more lollies this summer for different effects. Will see if there's a peach flavour one to try for a bellini Grin

I don't have babies anymore (they're older now) but I now feel the urge to go out and buy up all the baby peach pouches! Grin
What a great idea.
If there's now a national shortage of peach pouches and an unexpected buying boom of them, we'll know why. Grin

only unreasonable if you still intend feeding it to the baby

I don't have children but may have to do some research on these purees.

For science, of course.

I am so trying this in future!
