CantGetYouOutOfMyHead · 17/02/2016 23:02

I thought they were comfits??

gooseberryroolz · 17/02/2016 23:02

Hydrangeas Smile

SecretRed · 17/02/2016 23:03

Think comfits are like liquorice tornados only a bit bigger.

Kummerspeck · 17/02/2016 23:03

We always called them horse cakes when you could get them seperately

TwatMagnet · 17/02/2016 23:04

My Dad calls them Liquorice Nightmares. Which they are!

Oswin · 17/02/2016 23:08

They are of course called Fuzzy buzzies.

Delicious.

Headofthehive55 · 17/02/2016 23:15

Of course when you needed the loo the line didn't stop so the girl next to you would have to put her particular sweets in the bag plus your sweets in at the same time. You tried to do it but couldn't always keep up.

Or if I was talking too much and would throw a few extra in, the bags would burst in the sealing machine. Our supervisor would storm upstairs to find the offending person!

There were different mixes some would have more buttons in, for export etc. Or different colours as some countries didn't use various food colours.

zen1 · 17/02/2016 23:16

No idea. They were all discarded in favour of cream rocks Grin

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 17/02/2016 23:31

Hydrangeas

^ I like that.

They're just called My Favourite Ones in this house. God I love Liquorice Allsorts. it's been too long.

Headofthehive55 · 17/02/2016 23:34

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 17/02/2016 23:39

I know them as worm cakes too, from my grandpa Smile

BeeppityBeep · 17/02/2016 23:47

The blue ones. 🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 17/02/2016 23:49

The blue aniseed ones (but my favourites are actually the pink coco nutty ones).

Hygge · 17/02/2016 23:57

In our house they are called "That one is mine because you had the last one...you've licked it now! I'm having it anyway!"

DS and I both love them. They are my favourite and his. DS will call them Bobble Jellies if you ask him.

I knew they were Spogs though, we used to sell them at work from a big jar, blue and pink ones mixed together.

iklboo · 18/02/2016 15:51

Our local sweet shop used to sell bags of the pink & blue ones. Sadly the owners retired & sold up. It's a twendy shabby chic twigs in a jar place now Sad

Libitina · 18/02/2016 16:02

The liquorice bastards

Love it, I hate these ones!

sparkleface · 18/02/2016 17:26
