I have just pulled an imbedded hair out of THE SOLE OF MY LEFT FOOT. I shit you not. I've had a spiking pain there for a couple of days and assumed I would find a verruca. It was a hair - seriously. How the hell? So am I being noting it's really weird and totally fucking freaky?

I get this with dog hairs. Hate the feeling!

youdontknowmebut · 14/02/2016 13:22

Thank God I'm not alone in this! I'm still freaked out by it. It was all curled up and quite deep in. I cut the husbands hair with those electric clippers so that will probably be where it came from. Gross!!

If you have to grow weird unwanted hair, the sole of your foot is probably the best place for it - better than the end of your nose Grin

CatchAPlaneToBarcelona · 14/02/2016 13:25

Whaaa? How the feck do you get a dog hair embedded in your foot? Are your feet made of Playdoh? Shock

Are are your dogs 'wire haired'? Grin

This is most odd.

BigDamnHero · 14/02/2016 13:33

I had this with a dog hair back when I was a teen. My foot was all sore and inflamed and in the end I got my mum to dig around with a sewing needle and tweezers. She pulled out a dog hair from pretty deep in my foot. We had a springer spaniel so not exactly a really coarse-haired dog. No idea how it happened!

youdontknowmebut · 14/02/2016 14:41

I'm not convinced it was a dog hair in my foot. It was too short. Only about 1cm long. It was a fine hair. Whatever it was, it freaked the hell out of me!

Mg cat's hair is like a needles, it's stuck in my foot before and it bloody hurts.

hiddenhome2 · 14/02/2016 16:27

Urgh, somebody else's hair has been living in your foot Grin

soapboxqueen · 14/02/2016 16:36

Had this before with both cat and dog hair. It hurts like hell. Cat hair is worse because it is finer and harder to spot.

For goodness sake, youdontknowmebut, is it not obvious? You're frontline NHS: first the junior doctors imposed contracts, now Jeremy Cunt is turning the rest of us into supernatural creatures.

I'm no conspiracy theorist but this is just another example of the lengths this government will go to to wreck the NHS

Buzzardbird · 14/02/2016 16:42

Are you a troll? Grin

SirVixofVixHall · 14/02/2016 16:42

Hairdressers can get a condition known as "hairdressers' nipple" where the chopped little bits of hair can imbed themselves into the nipple area. .

originalmavis · 14/02/2016 16:44

My hairdresser wears clothes...

Eigg · 14/02/2016 16:46

I have a friend who is a podiatrist- apparently this is really, really common.

youdontknowmebut · 14/02/2016 16:56

nationmckinley I do think it's a conspiracy. I will not allow hairgate to get the better of me!

I am not a troll. No. Are you, Buzzardbird

I'm worried now, as I've just cut ds's hair and have a cat.
Good thing I have thick slippers. :)

Buzzardbird · 14/02/2016 17:45

I have been known to have hair grow in curious places OP, but I think it is menopause rather than trollism. Grin
