To think Ofsted made a harsh decision on this nursery.

Or at least are being rather heavy handed here. Yes staff aren't allowed to use personal phones to take pictures of the children but when there's obviously nothing wrong happening here and photos were just being sent to a parent to reassure them that their child had settled, surely there was no need for them to be downgraded. A wrist slap would surely have sufficed.

The photos weren't being taken on a nursery mobile phone. If it was a nursery phone like Thingsthatmakeugoummmm says and the staff phones were shut away like some of the articles suggest, none of this would have come up. It just wouldn't have been an issue as an appropriate policy would have been in place. Are you suggesting that the Ofsted inspector just made it all up to deliberately downgrade the nursery? And that the owner complained and the complaint was investigated and Ofsted still thought nope, we want to shaft this nursery and keep them inadequate because we don't like her?

Or is it possible that the owner isn't happy that their nursery was downgraded so is stretching the truth slightly when moaning about the whole thing to friends in order to make their case sound better...
