To use electronic cigarettes even though I'm BF

I know small amounts of nicoteine can get into breast-milk.

I've never smoked real cigarettes (hate the smell) but I used to be addicted to electronic ones (gave up when pregnant).

Recently I started having a few puffs on electronic cigarette when very tired or very stressed (eg when baby has been crying for hours). I don't do it near him.

But I'm now craving them all day and having a puff several times a day. I love the buzz from nicoteine. It also helps me stay awake. Baby has reflux and is teething and DH is in bed with flu, and without the nicoteine shots I'd be tearing my hair out by now.

AIBU to use them?

Well the long term effects of vaping will never be as bad as smoking.

I am willing to bet my popcorn lung on that.

Non smokers are still breathing it in though, passively. My DMs car stinks like pot pourri so its in the fabric, and the vape cloud that comes out of it is huge. So it is really to do with never smokers - considering your children are never smokers and it could affect them.

I just find it laughable.

Substance A which is unknown and might be harmful.

vs Substance B which we know is incredibly harmful and poisonous, not only to you but those around you.

Now, obviously, not using either is best. But when people are suspicious of e-cigs as a whole, or say they'd rather stick with tobacco, it's ludicrous.
