I'll have a 3yr old, 1.5yr old and 6mth old this summer. We need a good sun holiday location so can you share your best holidays abroad with little ones? My parents will join us and I'm thinking self catering us the way to go. But any ideas are welcome. DH's only request is warm weather. Other than that it's about it being easy and fun with the kids.

LOVE Sardinia. Alghero (North west) is great and has a good beach.

Have a look on the tots to travel website or baby friendly bolt holes. Villas that all have fenced pools and provide absolutely everything you need for a holiday with small children; no need to take bed guards, toys, sterilisers and everything in between. Amazing.

Club del sol aparthotel in Majorca. Kids spent most of the week in the fenced in splash pool for toddlers. Bar for adults and shaded area right by the pool. 5-10 minute walk from puerta pollensa beautiful sandy beach and shops. Regular buses right beside resort get you there in a couple of minutes. Staff are great with kids. Quiet at night in block 2. Kids disco every night then kid friendly entertainment after. English cartoons on tv in room. Great food. Clean rooms. Couldn't fault it. Smile

We had an amazing 4 bedroom villa in Puerto Pollensa, Majorca.

It had a fenced pool so I knew DS was safe. A table tennis table and a pool table outside too along with plenty of sun loungers and a bbq

It was literally a 1 minute walk to the beach with plenty of nice family friendly beachside bars/restaurants to eat in.

A couple of local shops to get supplies from and a couple of donkeys in a field next door!! :D

Was a perfect holiday!

We stayed all inclusive in Puerto Pollensa, it was a perfect family holiday. Lots of families with children of all ages and we made some fantastic friends.
There is the lovely Pine walk to stroll along and lots of family friendly restaurants to choose from. It has a very laid back relaxed feel and we all had a brilliant time.

Any of the Baleraic islands are lovely & excellent in terms of 2ish hour flight times. If you want self-catering I'd go for a villa. As others have said Puerto Pollnsa in Mallorca is gorgeous, petty much all of Minorca ( Punta Prima is small, but perfect) & Ibiza is also good (don't be put off by its party island reputation) we've had lovely times in Portinatx & Cala Tarida

Avebury. Found a great villa walking distance from everything in Moriara. Thanks so much for the recommendation. The location seems perfect! All booked and really excited now!

Have a great time!

We tended to go to the beach quite early - we got a good spot and it was cool enough for the DC to play on the little climbing frame etc. There was also a little playground just next to the beach. Then we usually had lunch out - lots of nearby restaurants that are very child friendly, then back to the villa for an afternoon by the pool and a bread/cheese/chorizo/much wine dinner. It really was a perfect holiday!

If you go a bit further round from the main beach there are points where you can climb down the rocks straight into the sea which was also good fun.

Heard Moravia was lovely.
Also big shout for canaries.
