Aibu to wonder if youve had a virus that causes stomach pain but not D&V

Dd has had a temp since fri with stomach ache (severe at times). Very high temp too.
No d&v though she has been sick its to do with the temperature.

I seem to remember a stomach pain virus a few yrs ago. Though dont think i had a temp.

Dmum may have had this a few weeks before but certainly the temperature wasnt this high not did anything last as long and she also had earache.

Yes I had it last week. Ended up writhing in agony in the bed and freezing cold. All came to nothing and lasted less than 24 hours. (And 2 days later I came down with a massive sinus infection)

And I've had similar before where I have the most evil gas for 2 or 3 fays along with ultra rumbly crampy stomach.

DS had it last week.

Cold symptoms but with headache, stomach pain, really high temp and need to wee more often. And he's had a couple of nose bleeds which he's never had before.

Yes, it is a virus doing the rounds at the moment. I took my DD to GP with these symptoms because after 3 days it was still painful. She told me that because most people go back to work/ school once the pain stops (reasonable) it is spreading fast. Apparently it is contagious for 48 hours after last painful episode.

Yes, DD and I had this before Xmas. Temp, aches, nausea and cramps like trying to digest a brick.

But OP, is your dd better? You did take her to the doc to check it wasn't appendicitis?

I've had very bad stomach cramps this week (high up right hand side), so I am now being investigated for gallstones. But I had the most awful cold before it came, and the pain came with a fever (which the doc thinks cos my gallbladder infected.) I have had the worst gas and bloating also. Maybe it is a virus I have got then?

My DP has had this all week and has been off work since Wednesday Really bad stomach cramps, looking pale and feeling generally unwell. Not very nice.

For dd: The uti dip was clear. But she still had a fever so i went back, to a different gp on friday.
Left eardrum had burst and right was bulging. So AB started.
So im not sure if it started with a virus as a PP said an adenovirus maybe. Or a reoccurence of croup. Or her previous burst drums in dec never got better.
So could be the virus everyones had but her drums were weak still.
Reading about it ear infection can cause stomach pain.
Its all a bit frustrating as A&E on day 3 (for blue lips and nails) and gp for ongoing fever and stomach pain day on 5 checked her ears, it wasnt until day 8 it was visible unfortunately. At a&e the left one was too waxy to see. I was home with dc2 and if i had been there i would probably have said they couldnt rule out ear issues then (since she had this happen in December - a fever for ages gp visits where uti suspected but ears also checked.
then suddenly on a sunday intense ear pain and the drum burst by monday morning.)

So relieved to find this ds14 seems to have this , no D&V, but bad stomach pain , particularly about half an hour after eating , very lethargic and pale .Was starting to worry about appendicitis but it doesn't seem to be the right part of the stomach
