women cackling at high volume on crowded bus

Resisting the urge to tut/shoot evil glances at middle-aged women behind me on the bus, talking in shrill voice and cackling at deafening volume while the rest of us try to unwind from a stressful day (and recover from 20 min wait for bus in the rain).

Am I being mean-spirited?!

I hate getting buses, I think everyone should sit in silence until it's time for them to get off
