Right I'm not promoting FF dissing BF or anything, I'm weaning ds3 (slowly) from BF to FF as he I very attached to me and I need to get him ready for me not being around when I go back to work by leaving him with DH, DM, MIL etc for a bit. Never used FOM for other DC so no experience with it but in supermarket yesterday I paid €13.49 for first milk. However if I bought the FOM I can get it when it's on special and get points for my shopping etc. Also can get FOM in aldi where I do most of my shopping. Is there a significant difference between the two milks? Am I over thinking things (again)????

Totally different for all babies then - like everything else about them Grin

I take good eating as a trade off for shit sleeping and extreme velcroness. They will all turn out fine soon enough.

OP sounds like she's got it sorted.

I switched to follow on milk at just over 6 months. I couldn't get first stage milk in track because they had sold out, so I just bought follow on and my DS has been in it ever since. I've never had a problem with it Smile

WhyCantIUse - no, formula is not designed for different stages of development. Follow on milk was only introduced AFTER the World Health Organisation banned the advertising / promotion of formula milk as a breastmilk substitute before the age of 6 months. The only reason they developed follow on milk is so that they can advertise a product and therefore indirectly advertise stage 1 milk. Follow on is not necessary at all.

Thinking that formula is designed for different stages just proves how influential their crappy marketing is.
