We have recently sold our house though are in the early stages. We have fantastic neighbours on both sides (semi) and the street is wonderful with no complaints at all. However, we do have barking dogs somewhere further down the road. They are that far away that I have no idea even which house they are at (I am nearly sure that it is the road that backs onto ours, and not actually our road). Anyway, the dogs don't bark constantly, but when they do it lasts for approximately half a minute at a time and you can definitely hear it - it's like they're in chorus! I would say that it happens approximately 5 times each day and sometimes through the night too. Whilst it doesn't wake us up, you can definitely hear it if you are inside and already awake.
As we are moving only around the corner, I am worried that our buyers will complain to us afterwards that we never mentioned the dogs. They have never annoyed us as such with it (I think we're just used to it as it's gone on for that long!) but if you've never heard it before it really is a chorus! What would you think? Anyone ever been in this situation before on either side? I do remember that when our new neighbours moved in around 2 years ago they did say to me 'wow, the old owner didn't tell us about the dogs!' I laughed it off at the time as like I say they don't particularly bother us (it's certainly not why we're moving) - but I wouldn't want our buyers saying the same about us! So, AIBU to not mention them? Or should I and risk the sale? Thank you!
