To feel that Jeremy Kyle should not recieve a NTA

Just seen that The Jeremy Kyle show has been nominated for a NTA. AIBU I suggest that this is the last thing the cocky, arrogant and jumped up man needs?
His whole show is purely about humiliating and taking advantage of obviously vulnerable people, in my eyes, he fuels the fire of the situations of his 'guests' and cashes in rather nicely on it.
I watched about 10 mins of his new show last week and me and DH could not believe how he was swanning around Magaluf like he was the most important thing since flushable toilets.
He really grates my shit.

They're certainly not bad people. Some of them have just made some bad decisions in their lives, but JK's place is not to condemn or condone. Plus I wouldn't say he's one to lecture about people skills. His attitude conduct and manners are beyond appauling. He might actually learn some skills from these 'scumbags'.

notquitehuman · 15/01/2016 18:02

I hate when people watch the show to mock the guests. So many of them have addictions, MH issues, troubled childhoods etc. It's so mean spirited to watch a show just to mock someone stranger's teeth and laugh at their odd behaviour.

Owllady · 15/01/2016 18:02

I agree with you moojay :(
You have reminded me of a funny story
When I was visiting my mum a few years ago, all my children disappeared and when I went to look for them they were all sitting in a line on the bed like this »»ShockShockShock
I thought wtf are they doing?!
They were watching Jeremy Kyle :o!

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 15/01/2016 18:17

That's the thing though , Not quite. Like most wankers. JK can only pick on the vulnerable. If his body guards weren't there and someone stood up to him. He's shit himself.

Maverick66 · 15/01/2016 18:49

Cannot abide the man nor his show. It is exploitation of people that know no better for entertainment purposes.

AnthonyBlanche · 15/01/2016 20:27

I don't get why you are all so incensed on behalf of the "guests" on JK. I'm sure they have all made an active and voluntary choice to be on the programme, so what's the problem?

FlowersAndShit · 15/01/2016 20:35

He has the kind of face that you just want to punch.

PerspicaciaTick · 15/01/2016 20:36

I suspect that being humiliated on the show is the price some of the guests pay in order to be able to access the help they need - assuming the "after care" support actually exists in some meaningful way. Although some of them do seem to just do it for a night in a hotel.

Kreacherelf · 15/01/2016 20:39

I heard that the guests have a free mini bar in their hotel room to tuck into before they start filming...

Also, I don't like how he refers to himself as 'Jezza'...

imwithspud · 15/01/2016 20:41

I can't stand him, I used to watch it fairly frequently when I was younger. I honestly couldn't tell you why, I don't think I really understood what he was about. The shouting and the berating of vulnerable people gets to me now.

CerseiHeartsJaime4ever · 15/01/2016 20:47

I saw him once on a street in central London. We crossed the road in opposite directions and he looked right into my eyes and sneered at me like I was a low life. I thought, it's ok darling calm down, I already HAVE a job and I know who my baby daddy is, thanks... Dick

Kreacherelf · 15/01/2016 20:47

Also, I think jk probably posts on here in his spare time...

notquitehuman · 15/01/2016 20:50

They do goad their guests into appearing though. I have a distant family member who got pregnant and was abandoned by her dick head DP. He then phoned up the show when the baby was born because he wanted a paternity test, despite showing no interest for months. The producers called her and were really pushy. "You need to tell your side of the story. Don't you want to prove your ex wrong?" Etc. If she had been in a more vulnerable position, she may well have caved in and been put on display for the people of Britain to judge.

Plus I don't think people with severe MH issues or substance abuse issues quite understand the consequences of going on the show. All they see is someone offering 'help', which they might not be able to get elsewhere.

Youknowitmakessense · 15/01/2016 20:52

He's a dick.

I hate that show and everything it does

Becca19962014 · 15/01/2016 20:56

I didn't even know it was still going!!

Lurkedforever1 · 15/01/2016 21:06

Yanbu. Whatever you think of some of the adults, what really fucks me off is that the kids get dragged in with no choice. How much piss taking are the poor kids of the people on the show subjected to? Smarmy cunt.

Crazypetlady · 15/01/2016 21:14

Some are exploited that being said some do it for the 'fame' Someone dp knows was on jk and he posted on fb telling people when etc he was loving it

SiencynArsecandle · 15/01/2016 21:27

It's the modern day form of Bedlam. Let's all laugh and sneer at those less wealthy, fortunate, good looking, educated than us. And the people who want to go on there appear to want fame (or infamy) at any cost. Its equivalent to an ASBO, a badge of honour.

And Kyle himself is a smarmy cock garage

CrystalMcPistol · 15/01/2016 21:31

Now I'm fond of a bit of low brow telly from time to time but even seeing snippets of his programme makes me feel grubby and so angry.

Awful, shouty, hectoring, bully of a man. And the ego, ugh the ego.
