He constantly interrupts callers when they're in the middle of trying to say something.
I've noticed he does it more when the caller's views don't gel with his own.
It's very unprofessional.

I enjoy watching when Richard Madeley is on, but I suspect he is also one of ,those people who is good in small doses
If he was on all the time, he would be annoying as well.

Does he( (Richard Madelye) interrupt? I can't say I've ever noticed. Confused
must mean he doesn't

He blocked me on Twitter after he didn't like a joke I made.

I love the show and it's got me through my maternity leave when the only other option was the mindless This Morning. However, this aspect of his presenting does annoy me. I did much prefer Richard Madeley's style of presenting - he was respectful to the callers whilst still being able to move on from people who weren't addressing the point of the discussion. He got the best out of the callers. Matthew has a sharp mind and can quickly come up with counter arguments to get a discussion going to it's a shame when he resorts to this method as it doesn't make for interesting television.

Surely there were other options? A book, for example? Or perhaps hitting yourself in the face with a mallet? Both preferable options to this pile of shite, IMO.

Ha! I am a book worm and did read too when I wasn't too exhausted!! I find it a good way to keep up with what's going on in the news. It's explained simply but not dumbed down and different sides of the argument are (often) presented and that helps me make up my own mind on issues. This Morning and Jeremey Kyle are just unwatchable imo.

I remember watching it with a grizzly baby because it is OK to miss half of what's said . If I am home in the morning nowadays I can treat myself to Frasier instead.

I don't remember him hating on the people phoning in back then. He wasn't so angry.

hollowlegs · 14/01/2016 20:08

What was he like today?
I missed it.
