To find Christmas themed clothing an odd present?

Well maybe not so much odd as a waste of the gift givers money?

I have a toddler and a small baby, both of whom received christmas clothing from a few people this year. While I appreciate the thought behind getting a gift at all I do feel that it's a bit of a shame as they wont really get worn. My toddler would have got a few wears out of a Christmas jumper in the run up to Christmas, but he received it Christmas morning do will be able to wear it once and then it will look a bit strange. Same with the Christmas outfit bought for my baby.... A very expensive one at that. Obviously neither will still fit next year.

I feel the same about jumpers I saw in Next that said New Year 2015.... Who would spend £35 on something you couldn't really wear again?

A santa one would be daft but if it's snowmen, reindeer etc then I don't see why they can't wear them.
