To be sick of the judgement

Mn seems to be so judgemental and miserable about Christmas. All the posts about how crass it is to buy presents, frankly I'll buy what I can afford for my ds and what I think is appopriate, being told I should only buy too cause there are poor people is ridiculous, or not to take photos for a second as clearly means ignoring my child, or to tell all kids Santa doesn't exist past the age of 3 etc. people should mind their own business and stop judging other families

Just do what you want at Christmas
One present or a hundred
So long as you are happy
Just stop thinking you are somehow morally superior because you knit your presents from recycled lentils

OddSocksHighHeels · 25/12/2015 18:38

It's alright zing Santa is older than 3. Evidence: mysticinvestigations.com/christmas-blog/how-old-is-santa-claus-today/

seasidesally · 25/12/2015 18:39

without judgement we have no debate

MN would not exsist

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 25/12/2015 18:39

Ooh I want to watch that eventually, but we have a tradition of war hing Die Hard on Christmas Eve (it being the best Christmas film, obviously) and decided to watch the Die Hard 2 tonight and Die Hard with a vengeance tomorrow.
Maybe I will sign up to FB and post photos of that.

Gosh op, you sound miserable!

ouryve · 25/12/2015 18:53

There's more threads on mumsnet than I've had tie to open, today.

I've been mostly kept busy in the few minutes here and there that I've had by the thread about the cat in the church.

seasidesally · 25/12/2015 18:54

ZingDrama ha ha it will be nice someone offerring food instead of me serving it

LynetteScavo · 25/12/2015 19:01

I also want a gold iPhone 6 now. Grin

Who cares how other people celebrate Christmas? There's no "right" way.

OddSocksHighHeels · 25/12/2015 19:02

I'll be festive and throw a mince pie instead of a bun.

shazzarooney99 · 25/12/2015 19:11

Throws a custard pie at someones face!

redbinneo · 25/12/2015 19:18

OP, this is an internet forum, there are some arseholes here.
I hope you have had a great day, and given your DS what you wanted to, and received some presents that delighted you .
HAPPY CHRISTMAS everybody.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 25/12/2015 19:20

Anniegetyourgun · 25/12/2015 19:26

Nobody gave me a gold iPhone of any model. Nor has anybody bothered to knit a lentil on my behalf. Feeling unloved now.

LumelaMme · 25/12/2015 20:53

Thank you MrsD: I'd have missed Call the Midwife but for your timely reminder.
