DD is being unreasonable isn't she?

I have been awake since 5.30 and 4yo DD is still asleep!! I'm itching for her to wake up! I can't go and wake her up before she's ready to wake up by herself though, if I do she'll be miserable all day.

I want to do presents! I want to see her face when she opens her beanbag chair she's been longing for, or the pirate ship that she so desperately wants!

Ha ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one. Been sat here since just before 6, DP and DD are still snoring.

Dh is now up.....kids still asleep!

Mine are not met brilliant at not getting us up at the crack of dawn but today they decided 5.30 was the perfect time. Their dad came to bed just before 3 am so he's slightly broken! The baby has just gone back to sleep (oh lucky baby). Ah well, I shouldn't have congratulated myself so smugly about bed time going so well last night...

I was desperate for a lie in this morning but assumed DD would be up early. I'd forgotten though that she became a teen this year so while I woke up at normal work time she's still fast asleep and likely to be for some time. I can't believe I'm spending Xmas morning browsing the sales and MNing, I want to open some presents!

4 year old and 4 week old are both asleep :-/ (obviously baby has not been sleeping soundly all night) I'm itching to go.

Dd 4 disturbed at 7.30 telling me it was still dark out so was going back to bed.

The she remembered its Xmas day so then jumped out of bed grabbed her stocking and hasn't stopped for the last 25 mins.

That should be dd (5). Dammit forgot how old my dd is.

DH & DD are both still asleep. DD is 3.6 and was in bed asleep at 7.30 last night. She started crying at 11 so I went up to her and we both fell asleep. I suspect DH was up late, judging by his FB. Church bells are ringing for 8am mass.

I suppose I could get up and make the stuffing and prep the spuds.

I'm the only one awake too. And I'm bored

I'll swap. DD has been awake since 2.30 asking every 5 mins if it's time to open stocking yet.

Everyone else in my house is asleep too! I think Santa must have drugged them!

I have been at work now since 7am, but my wonderful DDs (18 and 20) got up especially at 5.30 am to open their pressies with me. They usually never surface til lunchtime, though they went back to bed as soon as I left.

8:15 and both of mine are asleep still.

Marie - You have lovely DCs - that is a huge sacrifice from teens.

That was thoughtful MaireJeanne, I have 4 DC in the house, 2 older teens and 2 adults and none of them will surface before about 10ish. I am enjoying a cup of tea in bed and on here because it will be the only chance I get all day. It is odd being the only one awake on Christmas Day, not like years gone past at all!

My two year old has just woken but my 6 and 9 year old are still asleep! It's great!

I thought my ds was unreasonable getting me up at 5.20am! Except previous years I've thought him unreasonable for sleeping in. Poor boy

We live in France where the usual tradition is to open presents on Christmas Eve (although not in my house) so I did say we could do them last night if they preferred, but they were adamant they wanted to get up.

DD didn't wake till nearly 8! It was great, I was shattered and dreading the 5 am wakeup call.

DD1 (who is 23) is trying to wake DD2 (who is 18) by playing Christmas music into her room. I think it is working as i can now hear her coming out of her room. DD1 is running away fast!

Ds 4 still asleep, usually up at 530. As I got to bed v v late was enjoying sleep until dd 8 came in at 730 and woke me up. We now both waiting for him to wake for stockings.
