Wondering when we are going to get a break regarding Christmas with little ones.
Christmas 1 - too far into the depths of PND to care
Christmas 2 - miscarried on Christmas day
Christmas 3 -Beloved grandfather diagnosed with sarcoma on Christmas Eve, leg amputated in early January, nan died of massive stroke shortly afterwards. Also in depths of PND 2

Now it is Xmas Eve and my poor 4YO is so excited about Christmas. It's the first one she's had. I thought I was so clever getting organised early so I could enjoy the last few days.

DH got the shits last night and has spent all today vomitting. I had my fingers crossed that it was food poisoning. I am now sat on the loo and it is not good news. I have also been violently sick. Surely it's impossible that the DC won't get this now? They have been all over me the last few days, lots of kisses and cuddles.

Surely we can't have another shit Christmas! I want to cry

Now that's what I call a computer virus!

Seriously, it is a pain that Christmas falls in the middle of the height of viral bugs season. Sympathy to all sufferers.

Dd1 and I were totally wiped out by the flu last Christmas. My 3yo was "in charge" and lived on toast, chocolates and satsumas. I was very ill for NINE whole fucking days.

It happens. We thankfully had a much nicer day to day.

Hope you are on the mend soon. Thanks

It is shit! And horribly common in young children to catch every fecking thing then pass every fecking thing on to us. Though I must say in this case it seems to be your DH who is the culprit. Bad DH.

I honestly think it's a good idea for one to lower one's Christmas expectations. Cos chances are at this time of year that one will be either be at the tail end of something 'orrible or just be starting something 'orrible. And the other awful things that happened to you - well they would be awful at any other time of year too. Unfortunately.

Anyway, hope you have managed some lovely moments in your day and were well stocked for loo roll.Xmas Grin
