To think public transport isn't the place for long personal phone conversations (sort of lighthearted)

On a train where an older woman is going over (in great detail, and to several different people over the phone) her (I presume adult) daughters current illness (including dihorrea and vomiting) and what she'll need to be doing over Xmas to help them out. Almost in a weird stealth boast way.

Add to that the volume she's "talking" (I'd say shouting) down the phone.

I don't mind people on the phone on transport in general, but Aibu to not want to know, for the 6th time and counting about her daughter shitting her innards out at great volume
Before anyone says their isn't a quiet carriage on this service.

Idea for new phone App - "Carriagesource" - allows all other people being forced to listen to someone's fucking annoying call to vote to terminate the call.

I used to live near Brixton and the phone conversations that happened on the buses that came from Croydon / went though Brixton were astounding. Always school aged teen girls having these exact conversations really loudly, often peppered with swear words.

I personally hate speaking to people on the phone on public transport as it is so bloody public. No idea how and why these people have such loud conversations

So glad I'm not the only one!

If I'm k. The phone on public transport it's usually a 30 second call saying I'm delayed can you pick me up 10/15 later thanks bye. That's it!

Yanbu. I was on a train recently and one guy on the phone to his colleague had just interviewed people. He was giving names, where these people worked and tbh was horrible about one girl and a guy and giving reasons why he never employ her although he was lovely about another girl. This conservation was still ongoing and could be heard by the whole carriage 30 minutes later when i got off the train. Id certainly never want to work in that place of work and yes i know where it was as he give that information away too! In case he is reading this..he was talking to ben. Please next time do this conversation in your office.

I must confess I was 'forced' into having a conversation on the bus regarding my sons medication - names and doses. I needed a prescription and the GP was unable to understand the instructions from the paediatrician without it being spelt out to her Confused

But, y'know, sometimes it's quite FUN to listen in... and to make up the other half of the conversation.

I don't drive and use the bus regularly, so this is a pet hate of mine.

Picking up DS from his Dad's the other day, 40 minute bus journey. A woman a few seats away yakked at top volume, virtually non stop, for the entire journey. The entire conversation monologue was conducted in a moronic stream of consciousness, peppered with y'know, like, she said and then I said....
