They don;t need anything....nothing we could afford anyway but I'd like to send them a token gift.

If I got a voucher it would be paltry....can I get them some nice chocolate in a mug or something?

Is it naff?

Most of the teens I know are hot chocolate/coffee addicts so a nice mug and something to snarf would be a perfect present.

YABU to think that teenagers wouldn't like chocolate (irrespective of the occasion)! Hmm

DD is 15 and would never say no to chocolate.

I've done this my little sisters boyfriend, bought a card board gift box and filled with a variety of sweets and chocolate and wrapped in cellophane. I have been assured he will love it (age 15)

My 12 year old son would love chocolate, or sweets, loves sweeties!!

Wilkos had some plastic cups full of American sweets ( nerds etc) the other day.

The giant slabs from Hotel Chocolat are great if within your budget.

Hulababy · 20/12/2015 14:24

My 13y loves to get some chocolate presents :)
Infact a couple of years ago she got no chocolate for some reason and it felt strange. I think everyone hair assumed someone else was getting her some.

NorbertDentressangle · 20/12/2015 14:25

Chocolate - definitely YES!

Mugs - nooooooo! No more mugs. My heart sinks if anyone gets another mug. I have a cull on them every now and again and then, before you know it, someone has a birthday or it's Xmas and there are more of the buggers!
(that might just be me though)

PeaceOfWildThings · 20/12/2015 14:31

Mine have eating disorders and so a nice alternative for them is interesting (decaf) tea or coffee sachets in a mug, or dark chocolate, pens or stationary.

Its not naff and its better than a £5 token
Can you make home made chocolate truffles or chocolate orange and mint shapes? They usually go down well. Just melt some chocolate in a bowl over a pan of water, chuck in some flavouring and pour into ice cube moulds. Xmas Smile
