So far in the past weeks

My best friend has died of cancer

I've been made redundant

My neighbour has bolloxed up a suicide attempt and is currently in a coma until they switch him off or he dies. His mum desperate for him to pull through ( for him to be severely disabled and poss try it again as he wont cope), and his sister wanting him to 'just die' as he was abusive to her (mentally) and can't watch mum go through this.

Why does the shit happen at xmas? Or does it happen all year round but you are supposed to be 'the happy Waitrose' family and smile, smile, smile?

(rant over)

It happens all year but feels more poignant this time of year. Also the fact that everything takes longer to sort out and it causes more disruption. My husbands grandad died today after a fall two days ago. Completely unexpected. We'd only just been to a funeral of another family member two weeks ago and it's just been one year since another died. Now there will be a long wait over Xmas for the funeral to occur so the process is a mess. The older I get the sadder Christmas seems to be so you have my sympathy
