It's great to have fun for Christmas etc, but the last two weeks have been a bit much. Today was frantic, Christmas jumpers / charity day, also a spare bag of party clothes, food to take for the party, then a last minute show and tell thing to find. We've done- the nativity, the juniors Christmas play, the Christmas fair, film days with donations, presents for the teachers... it's finally over! The constant feeling of guilt that something has been forgotten might now be gone... Now what to do with them over the week before Christmas. I've only got two school age children so no idea how others manage it.

Wish our kids had broke up ,they don't finish till the 23rd at 2.30. Still I get to do my big Xmas shop in peace.

I like the Primary school my youngest goes to, all I've had to do is provide a pack of biscuits. They did have a Christmas jumper or decorated uniform day but that son refuses to dress up Xmas Grin His curent year also don't do a Chrismas production because they do a big end of year one.

My teen has ben allowed to wear a festive tie for the last 2 weeks and casual clothes on the last couple of days. That's it.

They are both exhausted and we're looking forward to not having to get them up next week.

Definitely glad it's the last day :) I spend all my days mostly on my own with dd2 (10 months) as DP spends a lot of time with his disabled father, it's nice to have dd1 (10 years) home so I have someone to talk to! Grin

For the weekend we have clothes shopping and another panto trip, Christmas photo shoot on monday (my Uncle is a professional photographer, always does an amazing job), picking up the very last few stocking bits on Tuesday and then off to a farm in weds. Chill and baking on Christmas eve :) we certainly won't be bored next week!
