to wonder whether other people have found their political views change after having DC?

Just that, really. Since DD (2) was born, I think I've become more left wing. DH has definitely become more right wing; he says it stems from the desire to look after our family unit more now. Just wondered whether anyone else had found the same?

I think it's more to do with age for me rather than just having DCs. I've akways been historically left of centre, but with age have become fiscally conservative (small c) but am strongly left wing in a societal sense.

Locally I vote for the Conservative councillor as he is SO proactive and invested in local issues, whereas the Labour councillor isn't.

I couldn't vote Con in a General Election though...not yet, anyway...
