Creative, or else?

If would have to be the Times or something reasonably upmarket or interestingly obscure. My daughter would love something wrapped in The New York Times.

Yes it would ruin the folksy charm somewhat if the present was adorned with Lauren, 18 from Basildon and her big boobs.

Some may disagree with you there squoosh. Grin

This is the kind of idea (newspaper, not those with boobs) where you have to know your audience. My adult children would get it, my elderly parents definitely wouldn't.

I would think you ran out of wrapping paper/where skint.

Would only bother me if it was like a crime story or page 3 type though.

I know someone who does this and her presents always look amazing, however we aren't talking about a copy of the sun and some sellotape, its Chinese newspapers, thick luxurious roleux velvet ribbons and dainty gold bells. The presents aren't boots 3 for 2 gift sets either, but thoughtfully chosen or hand made with love and care.

Now if I tried it, it would look like I had run out of wrapping paper last minute and raided dd's craft drawer.

Sunday papers are big, with the colour supplements for smaller parcels. Could also do themed wrapping. The culture section for wrapping books, dvds, cds. Cookery pages for foody gifts, technology, fashion etc

Too worthy and not seasonal.
