To wonder why people put photos of ill children on Facebook

Why do people take pictures of queasy sleepy children and put them on Facebook?

I don't understand ...

madmotherof2 - maybe they were sat desperately trying to keep themselves calm and otherwise occupied whilst waiting. I know that at times when I have felt anxious or worried about something I have looked mindlessly at apps like Facebook, Twitter and even Mumsnet.

Don't post about anything good in your life, it is showing off.Don't post about anything bad it is depressing.Don't post about you child's achievments it makes parents of SNs feel bad.Don't post about your child's shortcomings because it is bad parenting.Do not post about the weather or what you are having for tea because it is banal.Do not post about politics or religion because it is contentious.
Have I missed anything?
Oh and if you EVER refer to anything you have read or posted on FB follow it with brackets saying 'I know, I know'

The only reason I post anything about my child is because she has a condition we are raising awareness of.

At the more extreme end of the scale, I have an FB friend who posts pictures of her son, who has epilepsy, having seizures, very ill in hospital etc etc. She also posted a video of her other son going under anaesthetic when having some minor surgery. It's quite distressing and I now have her on limited profile.

I posted a picture of my incredibly poxy child on FB once. We were trying to see if we could identify any known constellations in his pox formations.

I understand I am going to hell the minute I die, I'm just trying to ensure a first class ticket for the journey:o
