I cycle home from work. This evening I was almost got run off the road by a large dark dog charging across a busy road. It then charged back into a car with an almighty crunch but kept running. The car sounded like it would have significant damage.
Now I don't know dogs but it was large, dark and the shadow I saw looked like an aggressive breed. Considering my chances against a hurt, angry dog I pegged it home and rang the police from there.
Now it may not be an offence to have your dog on the loose causing significant damage, but I am a witness to an RTA. Police are Not Interested. They "Can't" take a report down because they don't have the form
I'd have to go into a police station for that, but that's impossible for me (no longer have a front desk at my police station, so they use the council offices which are only open when I have to be at work).
AIBU to have bothered?
