To wonder why people can't understand e-mail addresses?

I have an Australian namesake and one in the USA. They keep on registering for stuff using my email address. I was the first to get our name - [email protected] - but they seem utterly unable to understand that they don't have it - and they have [email protected] and something else.

I have tried asking nicely - but they seem to not get it.

Today I've had a confirmation from a website that I've been signed up for an account using my address - by my namesake's wife in Australia.

The very nice man who I struck up a correspondence with after I kept sending him email meant for DH Blushhad a [email protected] instead of a [email protected].

As my IT dept used to say every time I contacted them "the problem's in the chair" Grin

I've had this for a couple of years now and have failed to get it stopped.

I have had a local council trying to collect a sizeable debt, social workers sending her info to help her kids behave, I got a chain of emails from a relative about her family arguments (a fascinating read), emails from job advisors, regular primary school emails and she is also into something called Zumba Powerhoops. From what I can tell she moves around a LOT and doesn't always pay her dues.

I have accidently sent lots of emails to my dad with the wrong address, they never came back so no idea where they ended up...sorry if someone has received mundane emails from me Smile
