I placed a $200 Etsy order way back in September for some personalised items for my kids Christmas. They had a six week turnaround, that was fine.
After 6 weeks it was marked despatched. Great.
1 month later it still hasn't landed in the UK, so I contacted her to ask her to look into it. She replied that she was very sorry etc and would look into it but a week later nothing else. So I opened a PayPal dispute. That got a response.
She said by opening a case she had taken her kids Christmas money from her PayPal account. She did provide a tracking number but made no effort to help find out about the whereabouts of the parcel. The tracking number showed it was only actually posted on the day I contacted her ask where it was. 1 month after my email to say dispatched. I called USPS myself but they need to speak to the sender.
So the tracking shows it was posted on the 24th November but no updates after it left her local post office. USPS will look more into it if she contacts them but hasn't yet.
But now she claims her husband has been paid off and wants me to close the case and so she will keep the money but if it doesn't turn up that will be it for me, I will get nothing.
Should I close it? I don't really want to but I don't want to be heartless and "wreck her Christmas " wwyd?
