I don't really have an opinion on Katie Derham other than seeing her a few times on Strictly, she seems nice enough. I don't get how she is a not woman's woman. Or why we all have to be women's women, whatever that is.
I think I would be a bit offended if someone suggested that I was going to cheat on my husband too.

I am slack jawed at the stupidity of the article. Are we really being encouraged to resent Katie Derham because:

(a) she is comfortable in her own body
(b) she has worked her way up from secretary to TV presenter
(c) she is competitive
(d) she takes offense at being asked if she would cheat on her husband
(e) she smiled because she got through to the next round of a dance contest

I think she should be applauded for all of the above.

I can only think that Platell knows that this sort of writing will draw attention and any attention is better than none.

Well said Crimson. Its the usual pathetic mud slinging. I really like Katie too. So she's gorgeous and has amazing legs and is very smiley - clearly she deserves to be torn to shreds for all of those things! And she's competitive - maybe that's why she entered, um, a competition? Its hardly a hanging offence. And yes, I thought her response to the (highly insulting) speculation about her and Anton was excellent.

Katie's not a great dancer and the whole "she's the only competent or successful dancer Anton has ever ever had" bollocks does my head in, but she seems lovely, funny and self-aware. Me too Her and Jay are fabulous. He went from looking utterly terrified in week 1 to doing maybe the best ever celebrity dance (jive) on Strictly in week 3, and has been consistently great since then.

Katy has had great moments but has been inconsistent. Probably because of Anton's shit less than great Latin routines
