To ask for silly song suggestions for a toddler

So my DC has got to the wriggly toddler stage when I change his nappy. The only way to keep him still is to sing. Here's the problem I've sung the same songs over and over and over, and he's really starting to develop his Simon Cowell look (you've got 30 secs to impress me). He loves new songs, so here's where I need some suggestions. Repertoire currently includes:

Old macdonald
London Bridge
Runaway train
Incey wincey spider
If you're happy and you know it

That's it!
That's all I've got!

Heeeeeeelp!!

I'm clearly posting for traffic so on that I'm BU but this is an APB!!!

Row row your boat has lots of verses. (My favourite is row your boat out to sea, around the world and back again, home in time for tea).

My boys love wind your bobbin up too

Now is the perfect time to sing Christmas carols to extend your repertoire.

I also make up new words to grown up songs. My son loves my version of 'we will rock you' (we will kiss you/eat you).

Down in the jungle is a good silly one

Look up 'vegetales silly songs ' on youtube - the hairbrush song is our fave.

I love the hairbrush song! I think even I could learn that, right so how do I go about persuading my DH to learn all the other veg parts Grin

Try The Yodeling Veterinarian of the Alps too. And I love my lips.

Shake My Sillies Out

Down By The Bay

Both by Raffi. I think there are youtube versions.

Have you tried anything with a festive theme?

When Santa got Stuck up the Chimney is a favourite here at the moment

He also likes a lot of White Stripes songs (Fell in Love with a Girl, the Hardest Button to Button)

Learningtoletgo · 04/12/2015 16:32

Tbh I never thought of doing pop songs or even alternative versions Grin

He's going to be thinking 'has mummy hit the sherry a bit early this year' when he gets home tonight Xmas Wink
