beldaran got new Pug today and the first thing she did when she got indoors was too let off a loud and very smelly fart - she is going to fit right in with my other 2

Squoosh my pug had no breathing problems either and can walk for miles. He spends his time either bouncing around like a mad thing, walking or sleeping. He is fit, healthy and beautiful

"I have an English bulldog...a good breeder can and do produce healthy bulldogs"
U2 was she born naturally? Because more than 80% of Bulldogs are born by caesarean section which is pretty fucked up!
From the link:
"The 10 breeds with the highest caesarean rates were the Boston terrier, bulldog, French bulldog, mastiff, Scottish terrier, miniature bull terrier, German wirehaired pointer, Clumber spaniel, Pekingese and Dandie Dinmont terrier. In the Boston terrier, bulldog and French bulldog, the rate was > 80%."

Quite frankly I find it digusting that there are still dogs being bred where not only is there an increased risk of health problems but where the poor bitch can't even whelp naturally. These dogs may have lovely personalities but they are man-made monstrocities, and I long for the day when they lose polularity.

"The Kennel Club is a disgrace and doesn't have the best interests of dogs at heart."
Totally agree. The only way the health of the dogs is going to be put first is when people refuse to buy these man-made monstrosities from breeders. Flat nosed breeds with breathing problems, long backed breeds with back problems, wrinkly breeds with skin problems, bulgy eye breeds with eye problems, ear problems in breeds with long fluffy pendulous ears. It's completely fucked up and I blame the people who think they look cute/lovely and buy the bloody things from "breeders", which just perpetuates the problemAngry.

Oldsu, you say pugs are notorious for farting, even with a good diet, so why is that? Not normal surelyConfused
