to ask if anyone knows what they hell is wrong with my eyes? any opticians about?

help! I am really worried

I will probably make an opticians appointment but wanted to know if anyone else has had this and if it is normal or anything to worry about

I wear contact lenses but also glasses (when not wearing contacts) but for the last few weeks I have only worn my glasses as my eyes just feel more comfortable without lenses in. anyway yesterday I wore my contacts to go out for the first time in weeks and once they were in, i noticed that my vision was not as good as when I wear my glasses. when I came home I put my glasses back on and my vision was better again

now I am scared to wear my contacts again

I suffer from health anxiety anyway and my vision is so poor (-5.5 in both eyes, it seems to get worse every time I have an eye test) I honestly worry one day I will be totally blind

Went to 0.75 after a couple of years! I only wear glasses for driving! And with such a small prescription they are very cheap.

I had my eyes lasered at Moorfields about 15 years ago. I am now probably going to start needing reading glasses in the next year or so, but they did say that was always likely, and it was more stuff like walking in the rain and swimming (especially in open water) that I wanted it for.

I read up a lot on the potential risks before doing it. You should get a full assessment first, and for some people, that's when they'll be told they aren't suitable for surgery - though there are more options available than when I has mine done. Also, you need to have had a stable prescription for. .. a year? Two years? Can't remember how long, and it could have changed.
