I cannot believe how quiet it is today... Those that have won a reprieve, so to speak, in their income cuts don't appear to give a dam.
Because there is no 'evil tory', attacking the poor rehtoric to attack, or most likely they have to wait for the Guardians analysis so they have a focal point of attack.
My amusing anecdote for the day is that of the most anti tories in our office, at least 3 of them are more pissed of with the BTL stamp duty raise, they genuinely thought there would be a reprieve of the recent tax increases not another line of attack, they don't understand that they are now in the firing line.
I'm genuinely happy for the reprieve for a couple of our junior developers though as the brutality that the reduction in tax credits was going to be implemented was going to hurt them.
I still stand by my line that it is an illogical system with many flaws that people and big business liked and took advantage of and therefor relied on (IMO, why there has been a lot of inside Tory pressure is coming from big business)
But I suspect those that can improve there situation to not rely on tax credits will not see it as a shot across the bow and will be very vocal when they inevitably do come in.
