I want a Kindle. I already have an iPad, a nice laptop, other gadgets. Plenty of books at home. But i want a Kindle. Is it reasonable? Or can you tell me to get over it? Confused

Get one if you want one.

I have no need of a pink kitchen aid but I'd happily accept one (if the spare cash was around to buy it)

i had a back lit kindle, it was nice to use but it used to keep me awake for some reason...i much prefer "real" books as i can read them and eventually i get sleepy

I have a laptop, iPad and kindle. I wouldn't ever use my laptop or iPad for reading a book as it is really bad for you to look at that type of light just before trying to sleep. I have had a kindle since 2010 (I bought one in the US before they were available here) and love it. My old one died last year and didn't even hesitate buying the Paperwhite. I still read paper books, but only ones from the library.

Of course buy it! When did Christmas presents have to be useful?

That said I love mine and it's so much better than the app on my iPhone which I am using since the Kindle went for an unscheduled swim Sad

Which is the cheapest one with the backlight? Also making my Christmas list!!
