To think you bite WITH the ridges, not against!

The person beside me is eating ridged crisps and not biting along the ridges. What madness is this?!

Aldi's fake KitKats are sufficiently pleasant for those boycotting. Just FYI!

So long as you eat them properly like a civilised human being. Break off one entire finger (not your own), nibble off all chocolate, eat one wafer layer at a time.

KittyVonCatsworth · 20/11/2015 12:23

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THAT KITKAT??! Omfg, of all the outrageous things I've read on here that truly takes the chocolate covered biscuit. I want to marry you just I can LTB that would do this. Madness.

I do not discriminate with ridges btw.

GloGirl · 20/11/2015 12:26

Across the ridges. Fo' sho'.

AnonymousBird · 20/11/2015 12:33

Damn you all, I have just had to eat a packet of ridges that I wasn't planning to, and certainly did NOT need. Wink

Kit Kat - all just so very very wrong. Criminal eating. Vulgar actually.

RabbitSaysWoof · 20/11/2015 12:36

I thought it was about the crunch, against the ridges is far more crunchy than biting at a flat point.

Holstein · 20/11/2015 12:39

Across the ridges! Has to be.
Biting the ridges off one by one is just weird.
Those crisps are shape like a tongue, they only feel right when the ridges lie along your tongue, parallel to tongue.

MrsHathaway · 20/11/2015 12:40

I want to marry you just I can LTB that would do this.

Comment of the day. Grin

FFS I didn't actually create that travesty. I Googled it. But the strength of feeling all normal-feeling people have against it is exactly what OP and I experience when you fucking monsters lot bite across the ridges of McCoys.

DinosaursRoar · 20/11/2015 12:58

With the ridges. It's just to messy otherwise. (And no, you don't just shovel them in your mouth in one go.)

The kitkat photo makes me feel all shuddery.

bumbleymummy · 20/11/2015 13:41

Thanks for the Aldi tip off Mrs H!

Not tried Aldi KitKats, but DH loves Aldi ridges!

Asteria36 · 20/11/2015 14:19

WTAF is happening to the world? That kitkat is pure anarchy. So pleased that I am laying down wallowing in my mid afternoon bath as I fear I may have fallen down.

As for the ridges, I favour the Seabrook over the McCoys. Preferably prawn cocktail or salt and vinegar. Always licked clean of flavour before being eaten whichever way they fall into my mouth. Nibbling incurs a wrath that has seen me snatch a bag away from the perpetrator and scrunch it into crumbs.
NB only scrunch the crisps of people you know very well

WitchWay · 20/11/2015 14:21

Crisps have to be put in whole, snapped in half with the tongue if big enough & then crunched on both sides of the mouth at once.

Ridged ones snap more easily if the ridges run longitudinally in the mouth.

bumbleymummy · 20/11/2015 15:07

Exactly Witch! It's much more satisfying. Why would anyone deny themselves the pleasure of cracking the crisp in beautifully straight lines? Grin

MrsCrimshaw · 20/11/2015 15:11

I really really want to buy a Kitkat now just to eat it like that. It would feel deliciously rebellious. And I'm not even that keen on Kitkats!

laundryeverywhere · 20/11/2015 15:21

I'm not that bothered about the crisps but that Kitkat did make me feel a bit weird.

springydaffs · 20/11/2015 15:31

Sometimes I eat (aldi obvs) kit-kats straight across in order to feel flagrante. Kind of Marie Antoinette and the cake situ.

Ridges straight across on the tongue. Maybe a few at a time to get the full debauched element. Who would bite into a crisp? Unacceptably petty in my book.

TheLambShankRedemption · 20/11/2015 16:24

I eat my KitKats (or Aldi alternative) like the photo Blush

It does generally send people around me mad Grin

TheLambShankRedemption · 20/11/2015 16:26

Oh and ridged crisps are just hoovered into my mouth any old way.
