To ask work for an adjustable heigh desk

Everyone at work has the same desk. I have long legs and from my health workstation assesment I know for correct posture I need to have my desk a bit higher for my feet to be comfortable.

No, I work for the civil service. They have raised a number of desks for people who did not stop elongating. Ask them for it, keep a note of the request, then sue them in 2017 with a tragic muscular/skeletal deformity caused by little furniture.

Can the person who did your assessment back up your request?

Get occupational health to do an assessment and they can recommend one.

I have long thighs according to our occupational health. Not long legs long thighs

A taller desk was recommended not an adjustable one.

Yanbu to ask. Yabu to demand one without the assessment recommending it, like the poster who was demanding one the other week because the company should have counted themseleves lucky that she even chose to turn up or something

Oh yes, Enjolrass I remember that one. Perhaps the OP might find the advice given on that thread helpful. I seem to remember that she felt that she was worth far more than her recruitment fee so the company should bear the cost of the desk to retain her services. There were useful suggestions on the thread nevertheless.

Yanbu. It might not work but the sooner office workstations get a shake up the better. I'd like a standing desk or a ball to sit on.

Your company might be able to get one through the 'access to work' scheme.

Couldn't you ask them for raisers to make it a bit higher? I think adjustable desks can be pricey. Access to Work I think help people with disabilities. I'm not sure your long legs qualify.

My colleague has these 'cups' for want of a better description that the legs are put into to raise them. I think they're only about £30.
