to not wake my sleeping baby..:

She's 11 days old today, ebf, feeding well and lots of wet/dirty nappies. She fed constantly from about 6pm-midnight last night and has been asleep since half 12. I think this is the longest she's been asleep! Can I leave her to wake on her own for her next feed? I know they say wake newborns up if it's been a while but I'm sure she would let me know if she was hungry!

Lemon I'm breastfeeding a 10 week old who I also think of as a miracle baby... She consistently seems to sleep through the night - from 11pm or midnight until 7.30am/8am.

I've never wakened her up to breastfeed but she is a chub and is in the 90th percentile.

She needs a lot of attention during the day. She will nap during the day but prefers to nap in my arms. I try not to complain as I figure this is the pay off for the easy nights.

I also have a 2 year old son. I really struggled to begin with. Often the baby has to cry if I'm busy with her big brother. I cope by continuing to send my son to crèche each day (and I appreciate that I'm lucky to be able to do that).

If and when you ever think about having a second baby you'll figure it all out. In the meantime, try to enjoy the night time sleep while you can! Babies seem to have a knack for suddenly changing their minds about sleep!
