AIBU to even think these are pg symptoms so early?

I'm 14 dpo/possible conception. I ovulate around day 10. AF isn't due for another 7 days. So possibly about 3 wks pregnant.

For the past few days I've been feeling really nauseous, been ravenous, feeling a bit spaced out, smells are v strong and keep getting pains on lower RHS. Spent the morning at an activity trying not to vomit. Have spent the day mooching around the house eating and feeling sorry for myself as I'm not fit for much else.

I know its v early but did a pg test this morn and it was negative.

It feels exactly like pg symptoms, have 3 previous dc's. So am aware of signs.

I just can't get my head around such strong symptoms this early? Is that even possible?

I'm gonna go batty if it's another wk before I can confirm it.

I DTD on the Saturday, had ONE glass of wine on the Wednesday night, then felt as sick as a dog on the Thursday. I just knew I was pregnant. I worked nights, so did not have the opportunity to DTD again for a while. I was pregnant, as proven by a test a few weeks later.

I did a positive preg test with DS on Christmas day, his due date was 26th August. He was actually born on 5th September. That was a loooong pregnancy!

Another in the same boat here! About 7/8dpo today, have known the last 2 times I was pregnant long before AF due. Once within a couple of days of conception and the other time within a week. Also definitely felt implantation the second time. Have now been pregnant 4 times (MC, DD, MC, MC) and the times I've known have been since I've gotten much more in touch with my body. I think some people are very tuned in and sensitive to changes within themselves and I do think you can 'just know' - thought it was bollocks til it happened to me! Am reasonably confident I'm pg again but only time will tell, will find out in a week or so. (Ha yeah as if I won't test early - I so will!)
Good luck to everyone waiting to find out, fingers crossed for you all Smile

SweetAdeline · 14/11/2015 17:41

I guess what I'm saying is I don't see how you can be 14dpo and not expecting AF for 7 days. As regardless of if you have a 5 week cycle or a 3 week cycle most people have a luteal phase (time between ovulation and period) of 14 days. So if you're 14dpo then shouldn't your period be due about now instead of in 7 days? It might be clearer if you say what cycle day you ovulated and what cycle day are you now?

It makes a difference because I think it would be odd to get symptoms 7 days after you've ovulated because implantation probably won't have even happened but not uncommon to have symptoms 14 days dpo.

SweetAdeline · 14/11/2015 17:50

Sorry just noticed you ovulated on day 10. It sounds like the first part of your cycle is shorter than average (which is why you'll have had your dates adjusted at scan because the baby will have implanted and conceived a few days earlier than someone with an average 28 day cycle who will ovulate around day 14.
But do you usually have a 31 day cycle? AF should normally come 13-15days after ovulation so if you normally ovulate on day 10 you'd expect to get AF on day 23-25.

SweetAdeline · 14/11/2015 17:51

Sorry I'm coming over like I'm really over invested. Just bored watching Octonauts with the DC and trying to help.

boscros1 · 14/11/2015 18:17

Whoops sweet just counted again and I'm 10 dpo, not 14. Not sure where I got 14 from. I have a 27 day cycle.

ShowOfBloodyStumps · 14/11/2015 18:27

A luteal phase is considered normal between 10 and 16 days. However, a couple of days outside of this isn't necessarily worthy of concern. People can and do conceive with luteal phases of other lengths.

I felt implantation every time too. It's a sharp, knitting needle type jab which lasts a few minutes and then leaves a dull ache for a time. I just have a sensitive uterus. I had a coil once and it was unbearable. I could feel it all the time.

PalcumTowder · 14/11/2015 18:33

I knew I was pregnant 3 days after conception with my first. People don't believe me, but I felt it. I don't think it's too early. Good luck!

pointythings · 14/11/2015 19:31

You absolutely could be. With DD1 I didn't realise until 2 weeks after my period was due because I'd had a coil which truly buggered up my cycle, then a false alarm so I'd basically stopped hoping. Didn't do a test until I realised how sick I was feeling and it was a strong positive.

With DD2 I started feeling really nauseous about a week before AF was due - one of my colleagues walked into the office with a strong cuppa and the smell made me heave. And I was a major tea lover back then. I wasn't at all surprised when I tested and it came back positive. Good luck for the outcome you want.

SweetAdeline · 14/11/2015 19:54

No worries boscros was just trying to work out where you were in your cycle. I think at 10dpo with earlyish implantation it sounds possible to have pregnancy symptoms but a -ve test. Hopefully you'll get a +ve test in the next few days. Flowers

I am 7dpo (I think, I could be 8 or 9 dpo, I couldn't make sense of the opk's as it was the first time I had used them) and I am not sure if I "feel" pregnant, although I did "feel" pregnant before AF was due in my previous two pregnancies.

However, I have been feeling spaced out, cried uncontrollably at bedtime last night for no reason and have been super hungry and then off my food.

I can't tell if these are symptoms, or if I am reading too much into it. :o I am driving myself slowly crazy.

I did wake up in the early hours of Wed am with excruciating pain in my lower abdomen. I thought I needed the loo in my half awake state, and I did go, but the pain was nothing like I usually feel if I have a dicky tummy. DH even woke up because I jumped out of the bed so fast with it.

I am holding off on testing until next Sunday though. Feeling very impatient.

I knew I had conceived DS (Dc2), I get horrific ovulation pain, which started the day after we DTD. Eleven days later crippling cramps and spotting - implantation.

Had to sit on the situation til my AF was overdue but I didnt need the test. I knew from what had happened prior and had similar symptoms to you OP

Gopd luck!

Narnia72 · 14/11/2015 21:11

I just knew I'd conceived DS the day I did, to the point I went and bought a pregnancy test the day after. No idea why I "knew", with the other 2 pregnancies I had no idea.

Good luck OP, hope you get a positive soon x

SchnooSchnoo · 14/11/2015 21:45

I had the stabbing pain before I knew I was pregnant with dd2. It's not implantation it's the hormones causing a little cyst on the ovary I think. Sounds like you could well be pregnant!

JassyRadlett · 14/11/2015 21:49

With DS2 I had strong symptoms from 3 weeks - well before positive test - that didn't let up until I gave birth 3 weeks ago.

Totally grim, but totally worth it.

AnyFucker · 14/11/2015 22:02

I got definite symptoms this early

boscros1 · 14/11/2015 23:24

The nausea has worn off, but dh suddenly smells really stinky! Hmm

Have had the funny pain in my side on and off all night though.

Going to have to put it out of my head, as I'm going to be disappointed if AF actually arrives.

Possible OP - fingers crossed for you assuming it's something you want!

And fingers crossed and Flowers for you, OTheHugeManatee...

Twins...

Definitely twins.

Pipestheghost · 14/11/2015 23:44

I knew with dc2 very early on and with the twins the symptoms were even more prominent, and I had severe implantation pains. Good luck op Smile
