I have been invited to join some friends to go and see - I can hardly type it - the Coke Cola Christmas lorry! Really? An effing lorry advertising offing coke and this has become an event?

DS thought it was fanfuckingtastic when he saw it last year, it's a huge truck that's lit up to fuck with Santa on it, oh & there was fake snow-he was 3, what's not to like?

RJnomaaaaaargh · 04/11/2015 22:21

We went last year. It's literally just a lorry. I was disappointed I though it did something. No idea what mind you.

Even worse they insist on opening the free mini cans as you get them so you can't take them away for later.

It is s nice big shiny truck mind you. If you and your child like trucks it must be up there.

IrritableBitchSyndrome · 04/11/2015 22:21

Shinynewusername... snorting with laughter at your coke slogans Grin

wizzywig · 04/11/2015 22:22

Its a coke lorry. Not an eddie stobart one. Now a picture infront of an eddie stobart truck would be tres chic n'est ce pas?

TPel · 04/11/2015 22:24

I didn't know it existed in reality until today on MN.

It's a lorry that sells a revolting fizzy drink.

A vodka vehicle would be much more interesting.

DramaAlpaca · 04/11/2015 22:25

I first became aware of this last year when I got stuck in a traffic jam for two whole hours because of this stupid truck in some supermarket car park that was attracting crowds from far & wide. I had no idea what the hold up was until afterwards. Madness.

Yarboosucks · 04/11/2015 22:29

Well I suppose that it makes sense to associate it with Santa, he is obese after all…

My FB feed is full of "friends" enthusing about going to see it. I'd rather stick a fork in my eye.

Coke did not turn Father Christmas red, that's a very popular urban myth.

passmethewineplease · 04/11/2015 22:33

I wouldn't go see it personally but I do love that advert, it doesn't really make me go out and buy lots of Coke though which I think is its aim?

coffeeisnectar · 04/11/2015 22:39

We went with friends last year. What a waste of time.

YY to a vodka vehicle.
Or a gin buggy.

Now if I could see the Budweiser horses I would be there like a shot!

Wolfiefan · 04/11/2015 22:46

A gin galleon. That's what I want. Or a gallon of gin!
It's only Wednesday.

Did you think it was a transformer? :-)

I love Diet Coke, I love Christmas, do I want to go and stand outside in the cold and wet and watch a lorry drive past? hell no - not unless the Coke Man was riding naked on it and the lorry turned into Optimus Prime.

RJnomaaaaaargh · 05/11/2015 08:33

I don't know what I thought it did. unfolded in some way and had something inside definitely. However, been there done that got the t shirt (they're in the men's section in sainsburys in case you want one Grin)
