My MIL has kindly given us their old sofas as she has had new ones. As she is in her late 70s our tastes are slightly different. How am I going to reinvent it?? I have looked into re-covering but that seems the same price as buying a new one! I am sure there are many of you with a creative flair that can help? Please!! It is actually amazingly comfortable just very unattractive! Roses are best in the garden not on furniture!!

You could use throw like has been previously mentioned...if it is going against a wall and you want the throw to look less like a throw get some kilt pins and pin the throw at the back

Oldraver's idea but glue velcro on with UHU.

Well the throws are on. I didn't realise the sofa was so big going to need two and the multiple cushions are a good idea but I am (as predicted) constantly tucking in!! I am also trying not to move when I sit on it!

Huge fur throw from Amazon. We have black ones on our crappy chairs and they look a lot better for it.

Single duvet covers are about the same length and width as the seat cushions of a 3 seated sofa. Double or kingsize flat sheets should fit from the bottom front, under the cushions and over the back.
