All our presents are from Santa, i thought it was only on mn that Santa only brought one or a stocking. Santa brings it all to the kids here and absolutely nobody i have met in my whole life does it differently (hence why I thought only mn) adults get gifts from each other not Santa, gifts from family are from family not Santa. Maybe its an British thing, I'm Irish and it's definitely done my way here so for that reason the advert is fecking stupid!!!

I'm not getting het up over the ad really, dd2 is too young to know and dd1 is totally gullible, I'll spin her some far fetched yarn if she sees it Grin

The Santa thing hadn't occurred to me but the ad is really depressing, it doesn't strike the right note for me at all. Makes it seem like some of the joy is being taken out and it doesn't have enough redemption at the end to justify it.

Oh now i think we are weird! Every present even stockings are from Santa, they were for me as a kid and for my mum in the 70's. I think it adds to the magic that he had so many more houses to go to and once we all worked it out then thanks weregiven. I certainly don't give any gift at Xmas and expect a thank you off a child young enough to believe. I love the magic side of it too much to steal the credit. The ad just doesn't add any Xmas spirit, it's pointless really. As a PayPal user I am inundated with emails about what/where I can use it, I don't need to be told via a pants advert!

If ads influenced children THAT much they'd all think Jeffrey the cunting Giraffe from Toys R Us bought the presents, the long necked tat pushing bastard.
