DS2 is catching up with last nights DW....I really miss perving over Matt Smith and David Tennant et al. Peter Calpaldi just seems too old, although I loved him as Malcolm Tucker!

I like PC as the Doctor, but then I am old enough to have watched Jon Pertwee et al. PC also seems about the "right" age to me - don't like my men with less grey hair than me. Also you can never go too far wrong with a middle aged man who can play electric guitar imo.

I agree the current plot lines are too too confusing, but Missie makes me laugh and is way better than The Master.

I like Clara better than Amie Pond and Rose Tyler took over too much, but my favourite was Martha Jones.

See, the assistant is always Young and attractive (women can't get away from this shit) so let's have a sexy doctor.

I don't like PC playing guitar. I just don't get it.

Also, I've not liked the last few episodes, I can't keep interested when watching it

Hexenbeast · 02/11/2015 17:57

I sort of like PC and sort of see him as DW. But it just doesn't fit 100% right.

I miss the eye candy, yes, but most of all I miss the better story lines. And most of all, being able to hear all the dialogue. There's something about Capaldi's low voice and the level of background music that means I have to crank the volume right up to make sure I don't miss anything.

Annoying.

Eewwww, DT and Matt Smith attractive? You need to go to Specsavers. Yak. PC is awesome.

I'm so glad it's not just me that's bothered by the mumbling! I honesty wondered if I was going a bit deaf, I love DW but I can't hear a buggering thing. Intensely frustrating. Am enjoying PC as the Doctor; I think he's doing a good job, but storylines are crap and, yes, missing the unbelievable hotness of David Tennant (and to a lesser extent Matt Smith, who made a pretty fit consolation prize for the eyes).

Boomboom, no relevance to DW at all, a little relevant to PC, and I thought it was vaguely interesting. Grin

expatinscotland · 02/11/2015 18:45

There are sheep out back that are far hotter than DT.

Elllicam · 03/11/2015 14:57

I quite like PC and Clara. I did not like River Song though and I hated Martha.

TBH, I have never seen any DW Who I thought was eye-candy. I became heartily sick of the way that DT's supposed fanciableness was affecting the programme. I could almost hear the writers, producers etc saying to each other that they must keep the mums happy, and in the end it seemed that DW became geared far more towards pleasing the mothers of the kids, rather than the kids.

I would really like it to go back to being a kids' programme, shown at a sensible time, aimed at, say, 9-14yo and scary for little ones. Characters are formed from hiding behind sofas! It is a bonding experience.
