I seem to always feel so sleepy and tired at around 2-3pm. Most days when Im at work, I could happily curl up on my desk. Days when Im not, I will often have a nap which is around an hour. Yesterday I napped from 830-930pm then went to bed at 10!

Whats the best way to shake off this feeling of tiredness?
Thanks

(I'm one we post natal so deserve a snooze op)

I might keep up with the iron tablets though after reading this thread

Gosh this is me to a T. Mind you, mine's worse at the mo because I'm 12 weeks preggers. But at about 3pm, I'm falling asleep at my desk - genuinely nodded off a couple of weeks ago too. Blush

I usually go for a walk about the building or get a drink. Although mainlining Lucozade also helps currently. I'd be interested to see if there was an underlying medical cause.

SW have a new low carb plan, that might work for you?

Low carb lunches have made a massive difference for me. Lucky as I wah so can have smoked mackerel pickle & lettuce then an apple type lunch. Then as unsurprisingly it doesn't last all afternoon, a chunk of dark choc with my cuppa. Even a couple of oatcakes can derail me though, especially if I didn't sleep well the night before

My class of 30 keeps me from having any chance of a mid afternoon slump. :)

When I get in and have eaten my tea, however, that's when I sometimes just have to get up and do something or I am in danger of alling asleep.

I hate sleeping anywhere apart from in my bed. DH will happily snooze away on the sofa after work but I just can't do it.

Avoiding carbs at lunch, or anything too heavy, helps. As does getting up and moving around.
