To think the people who design Maternity Bra's have never actually worn them?

Why do they have to make the sides really deep so they dig into my armpits? I guess they will say it's to prevent boob overspill or something to the sides but I think I would rather that than then constantly pulling it down a bit.

I have already cut away at the sides of a couple of them and tried a few different makes, they are always so uncomfortable.

Bra's are not the most comfortable thing to wear at the best of times but now I have gone from a B to DD they are even more annoying :(

Bravado are the only ones I found comfortable

the best maternity bra I ever had was the maternelle, by elle macpherson. I dont knw if you can still get it. It looks like a lacy crop top but is structured inside

Royce is a proper L cup. I wear their sports bras, am a 34KK and can usually wear a 34JJ/K in theirs

I think under wired bras are fine so long as they fit properly, if they are a bit small they can cause problems with blocked ducts. The Anita one is great but they use American sizing and the biggest one they do is something like an I cup, which is around a UK G cup and wasn't big enough for me for most of the time I was breastfeeding.

A Royce sports bra doesn't go anywhere near my JJs.

you don't need maternity bras, just wear normal ones in correct size.

And same with nursing bras really - most of them are absolutely horrible. Either convert, or it's totally possible just to wear normal bras, slip strap off the shoulder and pull cup down.

Underwire should not be on your breast tissue anyway. So if you're in the correct size, it cannot in any way affect the milk ducts.

How bizarre! The back comes up v small on them for me but I find that normal in sports bras. Wish bravissimo would hurry up and bring their sports bra back

I found my maternity bra the ugliest, bulkiest most horrid thing I'd ever had the misfortune to wear (my fault I suppose, purchased in a hurry in a shop that had bugger all choice). Once I stopped BF'ing I would gladly have set light to the thing except for the fear it would've burnt for a week - it was biiiig.
